Client Feedback

  • I did not plan to stay with Judie and Bruce but i think that this was the best part of my journey. Sometimes you do meet people in your life where you do have a good vibe with. It is unbelievable that you can have that kind of connection after a couple of hours. They help you out if you need their help, the give you the right advice if you ask for it. They are very professional in what they do and there heart is on the right place. I learnt a lot about the bush, there are so knowledgeable and i spent one year in the bush before i met them. I did not spend only that first night at there place. I have been back twice to spend more time with them. I hope to keep in touch with them for a long time. I will be a visitor again when i will visit them but it feels as a member of the family.

The Gemini Experience is a guided and catered safari from a charming private camp in Timbavati Game Reserve on an exclusive  group booking basis.  The Timbavati Private Game Reserve is home to the famous White Lions. The camp is built on the banks of the Klaserie River and has five en-suite units, beautifully furnished and decorated with style and flair in an undemanding pleasing way. The main area is under an extensive thatched roof with most sides being a canvas and clear window drop that can be raised to allow the outside in and a free flow between the bar/ lounge and the outside boma and pool area. The casual yet classy common area provides a veritable recreation space for the exclusive group in camp.

The extensive roof span houses an open plan bar-come lounge and dining area. A polished teak bar- counter and stools occupies a cosy corner with quirky decorations, CD player, a small library and bar appliances including a wine fridge. An arrangement of leather couches and low coffee tables occupies the space near the Jet Master fire place. A convivial dining table lies ready for the few nights when indoor dining is required while the chosen gathering point is under the stars in a cosy boma made from poles- as an occasional wind break- around a central camp fire. Meals are shared under the stars to the many sounds that are assured by the excellent position of this charming private camp.
The five individual free-standing chalets scattered around the well groomed grounds offer total privacy for afternoon siestas and even outdoor showers. There is an ample swimming pool near the main area set about with sun lounges for those sun worshipers among us and what better place to worship than in the African bush, along- side the lush Klaserie River with some lazy midday songbirds singing  a lullaby?

The chalets are pleasingly spacious and most have a fabulous locally made four poster bed with an ingenious plan; here the ever essential roof fan is inside the billowing queenly canopy of mosquito netting! The cool interior of each chalet is individually decorated by the artistic camp owners, so that you may want to be unsociable for a while, enjoying your own space you desire on a Timbavati bush holiday. Bathrooms have a marble vanity with inset basin and a modern egg shaped bath but I would opt for the twin outdoor showers with the feel of Africa on my skin.
